Erika Jayne Divorce Case: Tom Girardi Drops Lawyer

New developments emerged in the Erika Jayne divorce case, as Tom Girardi’s brother, Robert, will now represent him in his divorce from Jayne. On Tuesday, December 7, the former lawyer, 82, filed for a substitution of attorney. Michael L. Abrams has not been connected with the case anymore. Tom is currently under conservatorship so Robert will act on his behalf.

The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star, 50, filed for divorce in November 2020, after 21 years of marriage. She said she has great respect and love for Tom but she has decided to end her marriage with him.

After three months, the judge appointed Tom’s brother to take personal care and control his daily activities after he suffered a medical emergency. Due to Tom’s diagnosis of late-onset Alzheimer’s and dementia, the conservatorship was made permanent.

In a June hearing on the Erika Jayne divorce, Tom said he disagrees with the conservatorship. He further added that he will put together the reasons why the author of The Pretty Mess denied repeatedly that she knew anything about her estranged husband’s finances. Erika said that what’s being said is insane. People say that this divorce is a sham to hide his assets.

During the RHOBH reunion after several months, the former Broadway star shared whether Tom is guilty or not. She told Andy Cohen in October that only one side of the story has been told and it does not look good as we need to get to the bottom of it. She added that she feels terrible and this is not who he is. She said she hopes he has not done what is alleged here.
